What is Prostate Cancer?
Abnormal growth of cells in the prostate gland
Easily detected by a trained physician
Relatively easy to cure if treated prior to metastasizing or spreading beyond the prostate gland
Sometimes, a very slow growing cancer can be left untreated
If the cancer has spread outside of the gland, it may still be successfully treated

Reef Knot Kits

The Reef Knot icon was first created as a symbol of Strength, Unity & Courage from the inspiration of one of the foundation members at the Vancouver Island Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. Since then, the icon has been an important element in the growth of the Prostate Cancer Foundation BC as a whole.

Reef Knot Kits were first introduced in 2002 by the Prostate Cancer Foundation BC. Comprised of the latest books, pamphlets and information regarding Prostate Cancer, these kits are provided free of charge to all Urologists, General Physicians, Support Groups or individuals in the Province of B.C.
