Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in Canadian men and B.C. has one of the highest incidence of prostate cancer in Canada. In B.C. in 2011, some 3400 men were diagnosed with the disease and approximately 530 of them will die from it. Your donation to Prostate Cancer Foundation BC will make a real difference to support prostate cancer research, prevention and treatment.

Prostate Cancer Foundation BC (until March 2009 The British Columbia Foundation for Prostate Disease), was incorporated under the Society’s Act in January 1998 and is Registered Charity # 87105-7840 RR0001.

Legacy Giving:

Things you can do today to leave a legacy to a not-for-profit organization such as Prostate Cancer Foundation BC:

Prepare a will. Without a will you lose control over your property at death.
Leave a gift in your will.
Leave a gift of a specific dollar amount or a percentage of the assets in your will.
Consider using assets for your charitable gift.
Name a not-for-profit organization as the beneficiary of an existing or paid-up life insurance policy.
Name a not-for-profit organization as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or pension.
Remember loved ones with memorial gifts.
Encourage family and friends to leave gifts in their will.

 

Note: To leave a tax deductible donation, gift or legacy to your 'Local Support Group" make the donation to Prostate Cancer Foundation BC requesting that the funds be used to support the needs of your group. The Foundation will monitor how and on what the funds are spent and forward a tax receipt to you.
